Superintendent Hite Meets with ASASP Members

Regarding Proposed FY2011 Budget

Dr. Hite met with ASASP members to discuss his Proposed FY2011 Budget.  The Budget includes major proposed changes to Administrators and Supervisors.  ASASP was hit hard by last year's RIF; especially, because there was no forewarning -  no time for realization and preparation.  Dr. Hite promised not to repeat that mistake.  So, he scheduled a meeting to discuss how the System proposes to handle this year's budget crisis.

ASASP members attended and fired off questions and concerns.  Although, we didn't like all the answers, we do appreciate the attempt to explain.

It is never easy and it will never be easy when jobs and salaries are cut.  There is no calm.  ASASP leadership is dedicated, as always, to ensuring that our Contracts are honored and seniority is followed.  If the leadership needs to address the PGCPS Administration on your behalf at any public meeting, be there.
